This is a terrible reminder that Valentine's Day is right around the corner. You are suddenly realizing that you have yet to plan anything and panic is starting to set in. Sweaty palms and that pit in your stomach are the least of the problems, as your significant other is expecting that romantic getaway that you have been promising for a while now. You have read our last post and decided that you don't want to stay local, you want that ultimate romantic getaway in Europe and you want to know where to go. How about you go to St. Moritz? St. Moritz is a luxury alpine resort town in Switzerland’s Engadin valley, and was recently rated as one of the most romantic places in the world. You can now stop crying those tears of relief, and book your trip here.
So now that you have that all worked out, you're wondering what you will do when you get there. First of all, take your time and enjoy the trip in. The scenery is absolutely amazing and well worth being wide awake for, so book a flight that arrives in the morning, or stay the night somewhere and drive in the next day.
Next realize that this is a luxury resort town in the Alps, so you will be dining at some very fine restaurants but be prepared to empty the piggy bank to do it. You'll love the food and it will be well worth it, but try not to get indigestion when you get the bill. Just pull out the platinum card and pretend that you have a rich uncle who is going to pay your bill for you.
When you are all done with your meal, you may want to take a walk to allow your belt to get back to its original notch. I would recommend taking a walk around the small lake next to the town. It will take about 20-30 minutes to walk all the way around the lake depending on how fast you walk, or how anxious you are to get back to the luxury accommodations and spend time with your sweetheart.
By the way, speaking of the accommodations, you will not be disappointed with them either. They are definitely befitting of the luxury resort, and like the restaurants will break the bank a bit. But if you want your lover to love you, maybe it will be worth every penny, after all you could be spending a lot of time in your room if you play your cards right.
All of this should get you out of the doghouse with your significant other, but if not try taking a solo tour of Switzerland you won't be disappointed.
